Home Alone Preferred Pet Care was established in 2003. The founder 
started this business as a way to help with medical expenses for an ailing husband.  Realizing that there was a need in our local community for quality in-home pet care, and with her tremendous love of animals, Betty set out with a business plan, and the rest is history! 

As Betty was finding the need for additional help with her growing business, my husband, Jim, and I joined Home Alone Preferred Pet Care as pet sitters in 2005.  We worked together for several years with Betty as she continued to teach us more and more about the business. 

Wanting to spend more quality time with her husband after his recovery, and her desire to enjoy retirement, Betty decided to sell her business in 2008.  Jim and I purchased Home Alone Preferred Pet Care from Betty in January of 2008.  Our love of animals, (we have 3 dogs and 4 cats, all adopted) and our previous experience with Home Alone Preferred Pet Care as pet sitters, made the purchase a perfect fit.
